Welcome to DPR!
This blog is dedicated to posting the latest news and information about events, tips, and advice, pictures, places to go, things to do and culture information for those who teach English abroad.
It’s always been a dream of mine to travel the world and experience cultures as a local. But it wasn’t until my second year in college did I discover the love for teaching.
My interest in teaching started while working on my Bachelors of Arts in International Studies. After studying a few semesters abroad in Japan, Italy, and Madrid, I realized how much I loved to travel and meet new friendly faces.
Deciding to teach English abroad became the most rewarding experiences I could have ever made. My decision to work with students overseas was strengthened after volunteering with the Peace Corps.
Here you will find helpful resources to get started in teaching English abroad, what you should know, how much you should expect to earn, and everything in between.
For those of who you want to learn more about my experiences of teaching abroad, I invite you to travel with me through this blog and enjoy the tips and advice I’ve picked up along the way.
